Thats what I want to build but I want to go bigger than the original 370x370x370. STL files based on design and I like that I am so happy that I found the VORON community here because this is it.
VORON VS HYPERCUBE UPDATE
Do your research check the documentation check Thingiverse and finally check the continuously provide update path 1.5 -> 1.55 -> 2.0.įurther I was checking the. I thought YES lets give it a try and here I am now. Luckily I found a thread and someone mentioned a VERON I though nice there is something else, but again all the time consuming validation, checking BOM, Documentation all the stuff ? Short build time and finally it will work (at least what people are telling, not self experienced yet.)īUT before leaving the CoreXY beside as I really like the motion design of a CoreXY, I was asking Reddit is there not somehting else beside of the HC/Hevo/D-Bot ? I was short before in deciding to just buy a Prusa I3 MK3.
VORON VS HYPERCUBE HOW TO
So how to move forward now I found to many things here and there to change to improve to whatever and I was already validating those designs for 2 month now. Yes, I like to tinker, I like to build a 3DPrinter by myself, BUT finally It needs to work once done. How long should it take ? Dont get me wrong the HC/HEVO/ D-BOT are great designs and hundrets of people using those and you will also finds awesome prints out of those but just for me its not what I was looking for. I don't want to mess op with eccentric nut's all the updates and finally only tinkering with those designs. As soon as you dig in to details of linear motion and how they are crutial for a 3DPrinter overall I thought myself there must be something more just the HC / HEVO / D-Bot. No one is updating those nor anything has been mentioned to go the correct "new" updated route and why no one mentioned anything about eccentric nuts within the documentation to use those to set the pressure of those wheels ? So finally I asked myself the documentation is great but it was not really up to date.
VORON VS HYPERCUBE MODS
Now I also understood why people on Thingirverse are creating mods like screws to change the pressure from those wheels to the V-Slots. I asked myself: How to level (tune) those V(W)-Wheels ? Now I understood why also a few people where going the route with linear rails like MGN12 instead of V (W)-Wheels. V-Slot in combination with wheels against T-Slot and rodas and bearings. I thought myself as part of thje next step whats the major difference between the HC HEVO and the D-Bot. I check the FB groups and a lot of people mentioning about updates needed specifically on the build plate. A lot of people a fixing those bed level issues. I further validated all the social channels and again Thingiverse on updates and again nearly the same story a ton of heck of updates mainly about the cantilever build plate. I validated the BOM and the documentation and YES there is a documentation available a great one, but. You need to know I wasn't aware of the Voron even existing at this stage.įurther I validated to to build the D-Bot. At least I did not found it.Īt this point I decided to move on and checked the D-Bot. Will even the mod1 be compatible to mod2 from another user?įinally I checked for documentation and beside of YouTube videos and the Thingiverse descriptions / comments there is no such combined documentation available. So my conclusion was a lot of updates needs to be done so where to start ? What kind of Thingiverse updates to choose?
Overall a good CoreXY but you will find a heck of tons of updates / corrections on Thingiverse. I started with the HC & HEVO and checked the BOM, documentation, Youtube, all the social channels and finally Thingiverse for proposed updates by users. It might helps you to change your angel of view. Originally I could not figure out if I should go the HC or the DBot route. I asked the same question myself during the last 2 month even.
